Hidden behind a destination known for paradise, we found extreme poverty, so we stepped in.

JAMAICA (FREE HILL PRIMARY & INFANT SCHOOL)
PROJECT: BUILD A PLAYGROUND
Partner: Kids Around the World
In a country known for its beauty and as a vacation destination, the reality for the majority of those who live there is far from paradise. Most people in America take for granted that their children can play daily on a safe playground. For the nearly 400 children (ages 4 to 12) at the Free Hill Primary & Infant School outside Ocho Rios, no such place exists. The children play soccer in a rocky, dirty field that floods during the rainy season. That’s where we came in, raising desperately-needed funds from caring and giving donors, to build a brand new playground rivaling many you’d find in your average community in America!
