FROM MEALS TO CLOTHES, AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN.

GREENVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINA
PROJECT: VETERANS ASSISTANCE
Partner: Fellow Countrymen
Although we have a global reach, the Premier Foundation is based in Greenville, SC, and we feel it is important to come alongside those in our immediate community. We have partnered with an organization that provides assistance to local veterans. Fellow Countrymen’s mission is to prevent veteran suicide by providing transitional housing for homeless veterans. They also ensure that veterans receive all eligible benefits and gain meaningful employment through mentorship. The Foundation has been able to make necessary upgrades and improvements to Fellow Countrymen’s Jordan Haerter Home for Transitioning Veterans in Greenville. Additionally, we purchased a 15-passenger van to allow Fellow Countrymen to transport their veterans to VA appointments, counseling sessions, job interviews and more. As Fellow Countrymen has expanded their reach to a second transitional home in 2019, we have partnered with them to cover all rent payments, insurance and utilities so that they can focus on providing the best hands-on care possible for our deserving veterans. Prior to our relationship with Fellow Countrymen, the Foundation partnered with other veteran organizations like Purple Heart Homes and Upstate Warrior Solution to focus on solving unique challenges that local veterans face when reintegrating into society. These include replacing flooring in a veteran’s home to allow better mobility for his wheelchair as well as updating another veteran’s home to prevent it from being condemned.
