Our Mission
The mission of the Premier Foundation is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. We fulfill our mission by supporting local, national and global organizations that are associated, either directly or indirectly, with the growth and preservation of Christian music. We also support the non-profit ministries endorsed by Christian musicians, entertainers and athletes. We will carry out our mission with love and compassion.
Funding Priorities
Since its inception in 1998, the Premier Foundation has awarded more than $2 million in grants to hundreds of charities, organizations and non-profit Christian radio stations across the country and around the world. The Premier Foundation is committed to the responsible allocation of the Foundation's funds, which ultimately belong to God. Our goal is to award modest grants that can make a significant eternal impact in the lives of many.
The Premier Foundation has developed the following priorities for awarding grants:
- First and foremost, the organization requesting funding must fall within the parameters set forth in the Premier Foundation mission statement.
- The Foundation will NOT award grants to individuals.
- The Foundation will only award grants to certified 501(c)(3) organizations.
- The Foundation will give low grant-awarding priority to requests for normal budget-relieving funds.
- The Foundation will give high grant-awarding priority to specific project-related requests.
- The Foundation will NOT award grants to pay off existing debts.
Deadlines
The Premier Foundation will review applications and award grants twice per calendar year. Grant determinations will be made during the months of June (for applications received January - May) and December (for applications received July - November). Completed applications must be received by June 1 and December 1 in order to be considered for review during that period. Late applications will automatically be forwarded to the next grant-awarding cycle. Applicants will be notifed by June 30 or December 31 regarding whether the grant application was approved or denied.
Application Requirements
A completed application packet will include the following:
- An original completed and signed Premier Foundation Grant Application with corresponding documents
- A copy of the organization’s 501(c)(3) certification letter
Grant Award Determination
Review Process – Upon receipt of the completed application packet, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to the contact name listed on the Grant Application.
Twice per year, all application packets received by the deadline dates will be considered by the Grants Review Committee. In some cases, further information may be requested in order to make an informed decision regarding the allocation of funds. The Grants Review Committee will make its recommendations to the Premier Foundation Board of Directors, who has the final authority to approve or deny any request. The number of grants awarded will depend on the number of applications received as well as the amount of funds available to disburse. Consideration will be given to those organizations that follow the funding priorities listed above.
No more than two (2) grants may be awarded to a qualifying organization within one calendar year.
Disbursement of Funds – Although an amount can be requested on the Grant Application, the final amount of money granted will be at the sole decision of the Premier Foundation. The amount of each grant will be determined based on the indicated use of the funds as well as the amount of total funds available for disbursal during that period.
Notification – Each applicant, whether approved or denied, will be notified via e-mail by the notification deadline.
