Before joining the Premier Foundation in 2009, Gene served as Founder and CEO of OMG SportsEntertainmentMusic, a multi-faceted sponsorship, music, sports, and event management firm with offices in South Carolina, North Carolina and California. He has negotiated contracts with global brands including Coca-Cola, EMI CMG, Nike, Reebok, Land Rover, BMW, Family Christian Bookstores, Black Entertainment Television and the Boys Choir of Harlem.

Gene also served as president of the nonprofit event management firm Greenville Events, Inc. where he managed events and relationships with the ACC Baseball Tournament, First Night, BMW Olympic Torch Run, the Chinese Olympic Federation, and Tour DuPont.

Gene earned two degrees from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is married to Mary. They are blessed with two beautiful daughters, Caroline and Alexis.
